Volunteer Sign Ups

Volunteering is central to making our swim meets run smoothly and we greatly appreciate your participation. Please sign up online by the beginning of the season.

We also need concession donations for our home meets. If you can provide individually wrapped snacks for upcoming meets, please sign up for meet treats.

Volunteer Positions

Swim meet volunteer positions are described below.

Clerk of Course
2 are needed to help guide the swimmers to their correct racing lane for home and away meets.Timers
6 are needed for home and away meets. Volunteer runs a stopwatch for each race in your assigned lane.

Head Timer
1 is needed to run 2 stopwatches for each race and assist individual timers if needed with timing their lane (home meets only).

Place Judges
2 are needed to state the finishing place of each swimmer for each race (home and away meets).

Scorer
1 is needed to keep track of races won and points gained from each race (home and away meets).

Time Averager
1 is needed to average each swimmers time and record on the time card (home and away meets).

Time Recorder
1 is needed to input the swimmer's time for each race (home and away meets).

Ribbon Writer
1 is needed to gather ribbons won and label them with swimmer's name after the meet (home and away meets).

Runners
2 are needed to pick up the time cards, DQ slips, etc. and deliver them to the head table after each race (home and away meets).

Refreshments
2 are needed for home meets to serve refreshments to volunteers during home meets and to help clean up after the meet.

Heat Winners
1 is needed to hand out a treat to the swimmer who wins each heat at home meets.

Stroke and Turn, Meet Director and Starter are also jobs that need to be filled for meets. These jobs require attending a clinic to be certified in that specific area. Contact a parent rep if you are interested in filling one of these roles.
